About Us

Finding Strength From Stories

Sanwiti was born from a simple belief: every mind deserves space to breathe, to be heard, and to heal. We exist because real conversations save lives, and honest guidance can change the direction of a young person’s story.

We are a mental health initiative that works at the intersection of empathy and evidence. Our approach blends human warmth with structured psychological support, making help feel accessible—not intimidating. Whether it’s a student battling academic pressure, a teenager feeling lost in the noise, or a young adult carrying silent burdens, Sanwiti stands as a steady hand.

Our work moves through schools, colleges, and communities. We conduct emotional screenings that uncover what often stays hidden. Our counselors provide one‑on‑one sessions that feel safe and personal. Group activities create a sense of belonging, while workshops equip teachers and parents with the tools to actually understand the young minds they guide.

We are here to build a culture where mental health isn’t whispered about—it’s supported openly. Where struggles are not dismissed—they’re acknowledged with care. Where every story finds strength.

We operate as a non-profit, driven by purpose rather than profit—every effort, every session, every workshop is focused solely on making mental health support accessible and meaningful.

This is Sanwiti: a small team with a big intention—to make emotional well-being a shared priority, not an afterthought.

Our Story

Sanwiti didn’t begin with a boardroom or a blueprint. It began with a restless feeling — the kind that tells you there’s something meaningful you’re meant to build, even if you don’t yet know the shape of it. For years, that feeling stayed quietly in the background. Then one ordinary conversation lit the fuse. A late-night call with Aatir, two friends questioning the purpose of their days, dreaming aloud about creating something that actually matters. That spark became the first step.

The idea of starting a non-profit had floated around for a long time — half-formed, blurry, more emotion than plan. But one evening in February, words turned into intention. The map wasn’t clear, but the direction was.

The first challenge was a name. Pages of options, endless suggestions, countless prompts — nothing fit. Until a strange little combination appeared: san for sanity, for balance, for clarity… and witi for wisdom. Two words that shouldn’t fit, but somehow did. Somewhere in the middle of this chaos, Tisha shared a small story that unlocked something deeper. It felt like stitching meaning into sound. And just like that, Sanwiti was born — rooted in the idea that stories strengthen us, and wisdom steadies us.

The tagline followed effortlessly: Finding Strength from Stories.

Once the name landed, things moved quickly. A WhatsApp call, a domain check, a Gmail address created with a ridiculous amount of hope: sanwiti.india@gmail.com — because the dream was never small. India was just the starting point. The heart secretly whispered: one day, Sanwiti.USA… Sanwiti.UK… Sanwiti.Germany. A global community shaped by shared vulnerability.

Then came the logo — two minds coming together, holding each other up, building wings side by side. A partnership turned into a symbol. A symbol turned into a commitment.

Sanwiti is young. It’s just taking its first steps. This story is being written in real time — on train rides between cities, after exams, before big meetings. This very chapter was penned traveling back to Hubli, right before pitching Sanwiti to a school for the first time. A small beginning, but beginnings don’t need to be loud to be powerful.

If you’re reading this, you’re witnessing the early pages of a journey built on stubborn hope, shared dreams, and the belief that mental health support should reach every corner of the community.

This is Sanwiti — writing its story from its babysteps, carrying big courage in small pockets, and moving forward with the faith that every effort, every person, and every story will make a difference.
